Northeast Region
Welcome!

The Northeast Regional Capacity Center (RCC), which also services
the Mid-Atlantic Region, has a very active network of local
governments. Besides regular meetings and conference calls, ICLEI is
working closely with jurisdictions in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic to
provide resources and assistance for completing baseline emissions
inventories and local action plans. ICLEI conducts specific training
sessions in the region, which in the past have included eco-purchasing,
ENERGY STAR, and urban heat island mitigation. The RCC in Boston,
Massachusetts, works with local governments to implement these action
plans and other local climate protection initiatives throughout the
Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Please see below for more information on
climate protection activity and resources in the region.
Updates
Submit Your Inventory and Action Plan
Have you completed your inventory or action plan? Share it with ICLEI! We’re compiling these resources so local governments can learn from one another. To submit your inventory or action plan, e-mail Missy Stults, Senior Program Officer, or call her at (617) 635-3853.
Wanted: Clean Energy Resources
Please consider sharing sample ordinances, zoning language, RFPs, or any other clean energy resources with ICLEI, as we work to compile them as a resource for all local governments. To submit any resource, e-mail Courtney Forrester, Program Associate, or call her at (617) 850-9048.
Transportation and Climate Change Project
On June 10, this ICLEI-led group of 20 regional local governments held a summit titled “The Future of Transportation: Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions along the Connecticut River Corridor.” View a video of the summit, or learn more about this project.
