Micah Lang

As a Senior Program Officer based in ICLEI’s Oakland, CA office, Micah contributes to a broad array of programs and projects. Micah provides technical support to ICLEI members in Southern California. He has co-led the development of the Climate and Air Pollution Planning Assistant (CAPPA), a decision support tool for developing climate action plans. Micah is also a subject matter expert in water, wastewater, and waste—areas in which he is working to expand ICLEI’s member support.
Prior to joining ICLEI in April 2007, Micah worked as a researcher on international and domestic water and wastewater services access. Micah has also worked as a policy analyst, consultant, and researcher on a broad array of sustainability issues in Latin America, the Mediterranean, Africa, and the United States. Micah has a master’s degree in Energy and Resources from the University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Colorado College.
