Clean Air Climate Protection (CACP) Software and Training
ICLEI members receive access to the Clean Air Climate Protection (CACP) software, web-based trainings and on-call technical assistance.

A suite of tools, publications other resources are available to ICLEI members, including case studies, best practices, tool kits, templates, and customizable presentation materials.

The performance-based focus of our programs ensures that our members have a solid foundation from which to establish benchmarks, track progress and achieve their goals.

Networking is one of ICLEI’s greatest strengths. ICLEI members have direct access to our growing global network of local governments actively implementing climate protection and sustainability initiatives with proven results.

Technical Assistance
A hallmark of ICLEI is hands-on assistance. A designated ICLEI staff liaison will help members get the support they need, such as tailored trainings and technical expertise.

Inventory Assistance
ICLEI assists local governments in conducting their baseline emission inventories and their emission forecasts, helping the city understand how and from whom to collect the necessary data. Alternatively, ICLEI can conduct the entire inventory and forecast on behalf of the member community, presenting the results to staff, elected officials and the community as and when requested by the member.

Measures Identification and Quantification Assistance
ICLEI also assists members in identifying potential measures that they can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. ICLEI helps the local government quantify the emission reductions and other benefits (financial, quality of life) from the full range of possible policies and measures.

Policy Assistance
ICLEI provides case studies, fact sheets, agenda reports, sample resolutions, policy frameworks, model ordinance language, and links to key technical information that can assist local governments in implementing a wide range of policies measures. ICLEI members are provided opportunities to join with other local governments to affect policy at the regional, state and national levels.

Communications Assistance
Enhanced communications assistance including media and public outreach is now part of the ICLEI package, as part of an effort to help local governments develop more effective communications strategies and demonstrate their achievements.

ICLEI members enjoy invitations and discounted rates to exclusive regional, national and international events.

Recognition and Awards
Celebrating progress and success inspires others. Through outreach, communications, and media efforts ICLEI members are recognized for their achievements.

Representation
Members are assured a voice at the table at top-level international meetings through ICLEI’s official role as local government representative at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and as Local Government Major Group Coordinator at the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development.
