• Leading the development of the international Local Governments Greenhouse Gas Emissions Protocol
  
• Launched World Mayors and Local Governments Climate Protection Agreement 
• Partnered on the C40 Large Cities Climate Summit in May 2007
• Hosted a Local Government Climate Session in Bali at the UN Climate Change Conference in 2007
