Being Wise About Waste
"Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" is more than a catchphrase for local governments. By banning plastic bags and water bottles and stepping up composting and recycling programs, communities are taking their waging their battle against global warming and for sustainability on more than one front -- reducing the emissions associated with the production and transportation of materials and the waste they dump in landfills.
